Hair as short as 1mm in length can be grabbed by our hot wax option. Our strip wax can remove hair as short as 2mm. Optimum waxing length is 1cm or more.

Age 16yrs and over for body / facial waxing – a parent must be present

Age 18yrs and over for bikini

We cannot perform waxing on clients who the following applies to:

Pregnancy before the 1st trimester, taking blood thinning medication, cancer within the last 4 years / undergoing chemotherapy, recent sunburn, use of sunbeds, taking Roaccutane / antibiotics 

Our Lycon Hot Wax is perfect for all sensitive areas. The benefits include fewer in-grown hairs, less breakage and therefore longer re-growth periods. Strip wax is recommended for thicker/less sensitive skin, for example legs, arms, back and shoulders.

Lycon Wax is sourced from Australia and is designed to promote skin hydration and care for the skin with various essential – oil based ingredients. Our wax also eliminates the ‘freshly plucked chicken’ effect that many other waxes cause.

To keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat & friction during the next 24 hours. This means:

• No hot baths or showers (warm water only)
• No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments
• No tanning (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans)
• No sport, gym, work or other exercise
• Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands
• Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools
• Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended by your therapist

Please note: Some slight soreness, small bumps & redness are common & perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax.
These symptoms should subside over 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Basic bikini – Hair is removed from the top and the sides of the bikini area.

G String – Same as bikini, however the top can be taken slightly higher with more hair removed underneath following the line of a g-string.

Brazilian – Removes all of the hair from underneath and leaves only a strip, thumb print or small triangle of hair at the front. Hair is also completely removed from in between the buttocks.

Hollywood – Everything off!

You will be required to remove your underwear for Brazilian and Hollywood waxing. Disposable paper underwear is provided for basic bikini and g-string – or you can wear your own if you prefer.

Unfortunately, we do not wax our clients whilst on their period. We offer a reschedule, should your wax fall within this time.

Every person has a different pain threshold and also experiences waxing differently, however if you maintain your waxing regularly, most find it easier as the hairs become thinner, lighter and more sparse after a few treatments.

It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get into a growth cycle that gives best results. We recommend waxing every 4 weeks to maintain your smooth appearance.
